Business Valuation
You Can Rely On

Accurate, defensible business valuations require both technical credentialing and real-world business understanding. At TMH, our valuations are performed by Trevor Hurst, CPA/CVA — a NACVA-certified Certified Valuation Analyst with over 25 years of accounting and business experience.

That experience includes executive leadership roles at companies generating over $125 million in revenue — giving our valuations a depth of operational understanding that purely academic credentialing simply cannot replicate. When we value your business, we understand what actually drives it.

We serve attorneys, bankers, financial advisors, and business owners across west Tennessee and western Kentucky with valuations that hold up under scrutiny — in estate proceedings, litigation, negotiations, and regulatory review.

Our Heritage

Over 50 Years of
Trusted Service

Thompson, McConnell & Hurst CPAs traces its roots to 1971 — making it one of the most enduring and established CPA practices in west Tennessee. Originally established as Thompson & McConnell CPAs, the firm has served individuals, families, and businesses throughout Obion County and the surrounding region for over five decades. When Trevor Hurst acquired the firm in 2015, he preserved its name and legacy while expanding its capabilities and credentials.

What sets TMH apart is simple — we combine the personal attention and accessibility of a trusted local firm with credentials and capabilities that most firms our size simply do not have. Our clients are not account numbers. They are neighbors, business owners, farm families, and community members we have served for generations.

Over 50 years in, that commitment has never changed. Small firm. Big experience. Great value.

Trevor M. Hurst

Trevor M. Hurst

CPA · CVA · Owner

Trevor built his career on a simple belief: closely-held businesses deserve the same caliber of financial insight the big companies get. Over 30+ years he’s seen it from every seat — in public accounting, as CFO of a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary, and as COO of a $150 million manufacturer with operations across the U.S. and Canada — before taking ownership of Thompson, McConnell & Hurst CPAs. Today he leads the firm’s business valuation and fractional CFO practices, guiding clients across Tennessee and Kentucky through ESOPs, succession, litigation support, and the everyday decisions that shape a company’s future. A proud University of Tennessee at Martin graduate — and now chairman of its College of Business and Global Affairs Advisory Board — Trevor is a licensed CPA in Tennessee and Kentucky, a Certified Valuation Analyst, and a Six Sigma Black Belt.

Outside the office, Trevor lives in Rives with his wife, Mary Ann, and together they’re the proud parents of four children — Brittany, Natalie, Scotty, and Sara. He’s an avid college football fan, enjoys collecting and shooting firearms, and — fun fact — is a self-described “watch idiot savant,” the affectionate term collectors use for anyone who can’t resist a good timepiece.

Favorite show: The Sopranos

On my bucket list: Set foot on all 7 continents, drive Route 66 end to end, see Notre Dame win another national championship in football, and watch UT Martin football host a home playoff game.

Someone who inspires me: Two people, really. My grandfather, Thomas C. Hurst — one of the last enlisted pilots in the Marine Corps and a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross — and my high school football coach, Wade Griffin, who taught me to never settle for anything less than your best.

Cody Worley

Cody Worley

Professional Staff

Cody brings a detail-driven, accuracy-focused approach to tax preparation, auditing, and bookkeeping. With 11 years in the field — five of them dedicated to tax — he has built a reputation for structure, precision, and follow-through on every client and project. His background includes serving as Deputy Director of Finance for Weakley County and as Chief Financial Officer at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, where he strengthened financial operations and built systems that brought greater clarity and efficiency.

What sets Cody apart is his knack for turning complex financial information into clear, actionable plans. He is at his best building spreadsheets and putting software to work to simplify processes and sharpen decision-making — always with an eye toward getting each person he works with the best possible outcome.

Outside the office, Cody enjoys watching and coaching sports, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Favorite show: Seinfeld

On my bucket list: Visit the 7 wonders of the world, visit all 50 states, and attend a football game at every SEC stadium.

Someone who inspires me: My grandfather, John Worley. He was hardworking and well respected in the banking industry, while always making sure his family came first. Growing up, I always wanted to be like him — which is why I got into the finance and accounting field.

Andrea Watson

Andrea Watson

CPA · Senior Accountant

Andrea joined the firm in 1999 and has been a licensed CPA since 2010, bringing a rare blend of deep institutional knowledge and technical precision to every client engagement. She manages a diverse portfolio spanning complex tax preparation, strategic bookkeeping, and rigorous audit work, and she genuinely thrives on the intricate, technical side of accounting and navigating complex regulatory frameworks — always with the meticulous attention to detail that gives her clients absolute accuracy and financial clarity.

Before dedicating her career to the firm, Andrea spent four years in banking as an internal auditor, an experience that sharpened her analytical skills and gave her a unique perspective on how financial operations really work. Over her decades with TMH, she has become a trusted pillar for the team and a reliable partner for the clients she serves.

Outside the office, Andrea and her husband, Bryan, live in Rutherford — the hometown where she grew up. Now enjoying their empty-nesting years, they love hitting the open road in their camper to explore new destinations. They are the proud parents of two children, one living nearby and the other in Seattle, Washington.

Favorite show: Little House on the Prairie

On my bucket list: Hitting all 50 states, exploring our national parks, and eventually taking the leap into full-time RV living.

Someone who inspires me: My parents. Coming from hardworking backgrounds, they dedicated their lives to giving us the tools, education, and support to pursue any path we chose — and they taught me to lead with compassion, treat others fairly, and value every person’s unique background.

Annie Ledford

Annie Ledford

Professional Staff

Annie has been a beloved part of Thompson, McConnell & Hurst since 1993, and in more than three decades here she has become one of the most familiar and welcoming faces our clients know. As the saying goes, she has never met a stranger — warm, genuine, and quick with a kind word for everyone who walks through the door.

That easy, caring way with people is exactly why Annie is so loved around town. Clients do not just remember her help; they remember how she made them feel — looked after, valued, and right at home.

Favorite show: The Waltons

On my bucket list: Visiting all 50 states, seeing Yellowstone, and getting some well-earned rest.

Someone who inspires me: My sister, Pat. I have always looked up to her.

Christy Cooper

Christy Cooper

Professional Staff

Christy Cooper is the person who keeps this office running — and the one you want on your side when something does not add up. Years of prime-time detective work (from the comfort of her couch) have given her an almost unsettling eye for detail: if a number is off, a file is missing, or something just feels suspicious, Christy will find it.

When she is not keeping TMH in order, she is deep in the world of true crime, cardigan close at hand, calmly announcing who did it long before the big reveal. Her real bio is coming soon — assuming she can tear herself away from the next episode.

Favorite show: How to Get Away with Murder

On my bucket list: Boarding over 100 animals at one time, getting my cardigan collection into a museum, and working an actual murder case.

Someone who inspires me: Olivia Benson — we have closed a lot of cases together, from my couch.
